This recipe has been tested with pups both large and small, from Alaska to Minnesota. I generally shape them into “coins” about the size of 50 cent pieces but it’s easy to make KONG stuffers by rolling them to fit your furry friend’s toy.

Meta has little interest in the KONG until it’s loaded with this goodness. Or peanut butter. She’s an equal treat opportunity pup.

2 c grated carrot pulp
1/2 c brewer’s yeast
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 eggs
4 c whole wheat flour
2 tbsp beef base
1/2 c bacon grease

Add liquid if they seem to dry. Mix and shape. Bake until soft or light golden brown. 325 for 15 min.
